When I use Google Earth, turning on the volcano option I see only one volcano when I zoom out.
When I looked up some info about this I found the following:
Quote:
Erta Ale is an active shield volcano located in the Afar Region of northeastern Ethiopia. It is the most active volcano in Ethiopia. Erta Ale stands 613 metres tall, with a lava lake, one of only four in the world, at the summit.
Quote:
The floor of the Afar Depression is composed of lava, mostly basalt. One of Earth's great active volcanoes, Erta Ale, is found here. The Afar Depression is, in the views of some geologists, underlain by a mantle plume, a great upwelling of mantle that melts to yield basalt as it approaches the surface.
Seems clear to me, that if the floor of the area is composed of lava, it's been active for quite a time (thousands of years).

So, the location for our second East volcano is: "
Danokil", ascociated with the Nubia-civilization
Should it be a problem, that Danokill does not contain a city site. It's a possible location for wilderness city though, cause it's on the edge of the map. (where the '0' Ahmar is illegal). Otherwise an earthquake will occur.
