What You Need to Play

To be able to play Civilization: The Expansion Project you will need to download and print:

• The Core Rulebook: 1 or 2 copies
• The Scenario Handbook: 1 copy
  Only really nessesary when playing less than 18 players, but usefull even otherwise.
• The Mapboard: 1 copy
• The Player Mats: 1 per player
• The Playing Pieces: 1 set per player, plus an extra set for barbarian tokens and pirate cities.
• The Civilization Advancement Cards: 1 set per player
  Not realy nessesary, you can do with just the Civilization Advances Quick Chart, but the civilization cards do give a more professional feel to the game.
• The Credit Tokens: 1 set
• Civilization Advancements Quick Chart: 1 per player
  If you print the civilization cards, this is not really nessesary, but it does give you a better overview.
• Civilization Advancements Credit Quick Chart: 1 per player
• The Trade Cards: 1 set
• Calamity Quick Chart: 1 per player

Version Information

The current version of Civilization: The Expansion Project is 2.11. Please note that not all components needs to be replaced if you are upgrading an existing game. The version number or date in the file names indicate when that component was last changed.

NB: A few components have not yet been upgraded for the latest version, those downloads are annotated with the last version for which they was valid.

Editable Downloads

As Civilization: The Expansion Project is a community driven project, we are offering all our source files used to create the above printer ready downloads.

These files are primarily intended for those of you wanting help out with the creation of future versions of Civilization: The Expansion Project, but you can print from these files as well. Doing so will, however, generally require speicfic software and some manuall preparation work, which is already done if you use the printer-ready downloads above.
