Included in 2.05 as paragraf 4.25 (last under the heading 4.2 Map areas)
4.25 The map areas containing the AST and the Trade Card Stack are not in play. Areas bordering to these areas are considered to be bordering the map edge.

Ok, new map is UP! Comments? As you can see, I made the east even more vulnerable than previous suggestions.

Outside of the change near Sri Lanka, any other changes?

No, just the Sri Lanka thing.
But we are working on a major revision. Same base map, but a lot of population-, name- and borderchanges.

Any hints in what direction? The group I play with, generally makes noise about the smaller number of city-sites and tightness of the map. I have told them to give it a try, there are different advances (urbanism) and it might not be as tight as it looks. My group's consensus is that with AdvCiv, Agriculture was good for certain Civs. But with the ACEP map, Agriculture is a necessity for *all* Civs, just that some might be able to buy it a few turns later than others.

Lots of minor historical and name change fixes. Some major positioning fixes. Bascially we are removing and adding some civs in to fix some balance issues and moving some start areas. Europe will see the biggest changes. We are adding some more pop and a city site or two to India. Stuff left to do: Major Persia/Iran revisions... Martin is working on that. You'll also probably see a simplified (relatively) end-scoreing system. The !!counters!! are all almost done as well (shocking I know!). busybody wrote: martin wrote: No, just the Sri Lanka thing.

I'm going to start labling the maps I've got You'll probably get the Sri Lanka vs barbarians issue handled with that then. Changing Kushan? In our New Year's day game, that civ managed to go the entire game without access to *any* water (he never was able to build a single boat, even if he wanted to spend down the treasury.) Then I'll gladly hold off on making the next set of counters for a bit then. We played from the eastern edge in with 9 civs and had a number of civs with replacement counters. Added some time to the early phases as we translated back and forth with the census and AST.

In Apollo 18, the Kushan at first complained loudly about not having access to water, but has ended up loving it and is one of the top eastern civs.

Similiar complain/praise from our Kushan player on New Year's day. He was the one that kept ending up with Cyclone as well. With AdvCiv, not having water to build ships would have been a hardship; ACEP eventually gives you a ton of things to use treasury with, so it wasn't as bad. I bordered him, but was on the Caspian, and ended up building almost no ships as well - just kept spending the treasury on Advances or buying cards.
