Resin vs. Lacquer

In my research I discovered that a pair of trade cards are closely related:
Resin is a type of Lacquer. If I had to pick one, I would go with Lacquer. The name seems to have more history associated with it. It originated in the far east and that seems more appropriate now that the game encompases that theater.
So as not to be a nay sayer without new ideas, here are some suggestions for a replacement:

Rather, lacquer is one of many things you can do with resin (and lacquer can be done with other things than resin as well). So I don't find this more odd than that both cotton and textiles is availible. However, it is soewhat odd that resin is more valued than lacquer...
