New Lay-out For The Civilization Advances
Author Message
Post
I've printed myself 18 copies of each card last weekend.
Just have to cut em out (will take a while, as I'm not in hurry and it's a hell of a job)

They all look great to me, and I consider this job (the designing of the Civilization Advances) to be done. This in addition to Jonno's playtest during Easter.
Apart from any future changing in rules or names.

Note: (reminder)
As for the cards(apart from other game components), a changing in rules is just redoing a single card and print 18 copies of it.
Change in card-name has its influence on the card giving credit too. Just a reminder.

Not only cards giving credits, but also cards nullifying or otherwise modifying the card in question...

I've created a new set of cards including dome updates on the art.
One thing that changed is a mention of copyright.
You can find the reason for this here: http://www.civproject.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=510
These are to replace the current set of cards. (still V2.09)
(There's been some slight ruling changes on the way for politics and diaspora for example. these things have not changed in this set. I will do that for V2.10)

These are the previews, I've created printsheets and all

I've asked Jonno to put these in the archive, but no response, or maybe it has been done yet.

Here's the results:

Any new player asks what is the VP count for the Civilization Advances, and everythime we have to explain them. (players used to Advanced Civilization still think the purchase cost is counting for points)

Though we originally refrained from adding a VP-mark ON the card, now I really think this should be added.

Maybe on front, maybe on the back. As lay-out designer, I will take a look at this.
