Credits for split Advancements

Just wondering if there is a rule out there regarding credits for cards that have two types. Are credits cumulative for BOTH types, or just the better of the two? For instance, Engineering is science and craft, does this mean it gets all science and craft credits?

The newer rules only allow you to choose to take the credits from one group or the other

So, if I have 50 Craft credits and 70 Science credits, I can deduct 50 or 70 from Engineering, not 120. This is different from AdvCiv (as are most of the civcard rules :)

I said the exact same thing when I found out. I have the version of rules I'm using for ADM cached here

http://broggs.org/~civmoves/adm/ExpansionRulebook.pdf

They are the 2.06 version (dated 8/4/05). It looks like the rulebook link here has it dated 11/21 I won't even try to explain the difference

Or more accurately §26.56, Under the Headings "26. ACQUISITION OF CIVILIZATION CARDS", subheading "26.5 Credits".
The only difference between mcbeth's version of the rules and the current one is some changes to the, previously ambiguous, Tyranny rules.

Alloowishus: As this isn't the first time you ask a question that is easy to find in the rulebook, perhaps you should take some time and read it through. I say this especially since you are a GM, and thus should, for the sake of your players, know most of it by heart...

Hey Jonno, perhaps you are right. I actually have an aversion to reading manuals on my computer, simililarily I can't watch movies on my computer. I have made myself well versed in the calamities, but some things are hard to find. Anyway, I will do my best to check the rules first for now on. Thanks.

Then print it! Myself I'm a computer guy, but even I find it simpler to get an overview on a physical media, and has a (now slightly outaded :() printout of the rules next to the computer when playing PBEM, as well as the searchable PDF open on the computer. Not saying that's the optimal solution for everyone, but it works for me...

Sorry, ink is so expensive these days, I'd have to get a second mortgage. :) Maybe I will print it at work.
