Game Construction: Commodity Card Back Colors
Author Message
Post
I am constructing the commodity cards for my Advanced Civilization Expansion Project. The back side of the cards in the hi-res png files have a blue AH logo for the East, and a red AH logo the West.

What color should I really use for the back of my cards?

When playing 16-18 players, some commodities are split between the east and west. Should the back of these cards be red, blue, or some other neutral color? Or should I use the same color backing for all cards for both the east and west?

There may be some other subleties that I haven't cought based on the color of the back of the cards and the number of players. Any suggestions?

I think you've got one of the older versions... try this:

... and browse to the tradecards folder.

The backs should all be the same on the commodity cards.

The faces of the cards should have "E" or "W" on them to help distinguish them when sorting them back into the East & West stacks (if the game is large enough to have seperate stacks :)

Oddly enough, the page on http://67.66.187.69/civproject/commodities.html - has the older set of commodities from 2004, which is probably where you got that from.
