Post Mark's map
Howdy... I am in the process of getting the whole game printed. But by browsing the forum, I've learned that Mark's map have some errors that yet hasn't been fixed.
Any knowledge when this will be done, or should I just go for the map made by Martin since Mark can not fix this at this side of christmas?
The reason I ask is since I plan to get it printed on some type of canvas, and due to this ain't not so easy to "make right" later on.

I've been lurking on this forum and site for some time and I must say I am impressed by the work you guys have put in this. Hopefully I will be able to join Gothcon and Arcon next year with my very own copy of this game, all thanks to You.

Well, I haven't found anything, but by reading on the forum I learned that the A.S.T.-order for Hatti has been changed and that there is a pop-marker missing in Greece. After checking it with Mark's map I saw that these erratas and changes is yet to be fixed.

By the way; is these changes something one can do easily if one have the right program for the PDF-file or can it only be done by Mark (bless his soul for the beautiful map)?

The latest map from Mark is missing one population marker and isn't updated with the new Hatti AST.

I'll ask for any progress on an update

Nice, thank you. I had hoped to testplay this game in Bodø in february and then take it with me to Gothcon. But I see in another post that you are going to host a game there so anyway there will be no "problem".

You see; as I plan to spend about NOK 3500-4000 in getting the game made, I would sure love to have a perfect map, preferably with names on the map.

3500-4000 NOK is about $640 to $735 US, and I bet I can print and ship the game cheaper than that!

$30.00 for a 36x72inch laminated map
$12.00 * 9 for 18 player counter sets = $108.00
$5.00 per page of 20 trade cards (original size) 10? not sure yet $50.00?
Civ cards - not sure quantity - $50.00?
Other Misc parts not mentioned $20.00?

Shipping to Europe maybe $40.00

So even with these guesstimations its half what you are expecting to spend. I'll be looking at the details a bit closer this weekend.

Let me know if you are interested.

I haven't been printing the whole map yet, beacuse of the number of player we usually have.

Ofcourse the map is meant to be printed in one piece. But if you don't... You'd normally get a result in say four pieces like this.

But I was thinking of an option of dividing the map in two or three pieces so that you get a piece of mapboard that can be played totally standalone. Just to avoid the option of bodering areas that cannot be played and haveing a full mapboard which won't be used totally.

Something like this:

I was wondering:

1. Is this a good option to do. I'm asking this to people with experience in playing only parts of the total board.

2. What is the best dividingline to result in a mapboard that will not have to use just a few area of the other part. Maybe dividing it into 6 parts will be required to do this.

Anyone?

p.s. in case of several options, I'm looking for an option to get the best result of only the eastern part of the map. for the most werstern part we rather use our own map (untill we print the western part too) that's exactly the advanced map with the WXM.
