We're putting together a game for New Year's Day in the Kansas City metro area. There is a yahoogroups devoted to it -

We're running our game Saturday (one of the people playing has wrangled a meeting room at a hotel.) I'm going to look over the 2.06 draft rules and try to use those (failing that 2.05). One of the things I do is print out a complete copy of the rules for each player, plus the various cheat sheets.
We're using a status board - see the photos of Craig Bartel's similiar one in the Image on the website (

Though, the usage matches what Craig uses now, instead of then. Now, there are three columns labled, Waiting, Moving, Moved and you move the country marker from one column to another. The countries are orderd according to census (actually movement order) and then it's pretty easy to see who can move simo, and where we're waiting on.
I took a piece of standard sized foam core and cut up another one (and a ton of velcro squares.) Though if I did it today, I would use velcro tape and glue it.
