Hi.
I'm new to the expansion project, but have been playing AdvCiv now and then for a couple of years and like this project very much, so I have decided to help out.

I have been proofreading the rulebook to find errors and fix them, as well as working on the layout (using Header 1 - 5 instead of just changing the font, having all tables in the same style etc) and are hoping to send it to you in a day or two (perhaps becoming the base for the 2.02 version).

I've done a first revision of the rulebook I if you want to read it, here it is:
http://jon.severinsson.net/AdvancedCivi ... lebook.pdf

I'm going to read it through again tomorrow and then send you the word-file, if it's ok with you.

BTW, I first posted this at the "The Rulebook" thread before finding this one, and moved as this topic is probably better.

OK, I'm done with the proof-reading and layout improvement of the rules.

Velusion: Please read, and if you like it, use the first word-file. Feel free to change anything (I'm especially not shure if you would want the pic at the front side and the list of starting locations.)

Everyone else: Do you think I should email Velusion or is he reading this regulary? I don't want to bother him in vain.

Here is the files:

Word-file: http://jon.severinsson.net/civproject/A ... lebook.doc
Word-file with changes highlighted:
http://jon.severinsson.net/civproject/A ... ighted.doc

PDF-File:
http://jon.severinsson.net/civproject/A ... lebook.pdf

Hope you like it.

Well, he does watch this pretty closely, and I'm in constant contact with him. If he doesn't respond, I'll try and ping him.

There are some clarifications that need to go in with respect to dealing with duplicate calamities. Velusion will have to decide which of my rulings become official and which are a wacky idea of mine.

Hi there. Pureblade got me interested in this project. Took a quick reading through the manual and came up with:

23.25 comma - "If any of the players involved in the conflict hold Advanced Military, this may not be done" comma after Advanced Military.

23.25 grammar - should say "Players who hold Advanced Military may instead of removing tokens from the area in which the conflict occurs, remove tokens from any..." delete the second "may instead".

23.25 contradiction - "If any of the players involved in the conflict hold Advanced Military, this may not be done". This is a contradiction because at least one player involved must hold AM. Or was it supposed to say "none" instead of "any"?

26.12 typo - trust -> must

33.107 typo - "may annex the all occupants" - delete 'the'?

Hi there and welcome

I included these fixes (together with a couple of more I found) in my version and re-mailed it to velusion. I hope he will put it up for download pretty soon now.

OK, I see. I was starting to wonder if you lost my emails or something.

Do you have any new Counters? I'm asking becouse next weekend it's LinCon, and I'd prefer to print real tokens, otherwise I'll just use collored papers to get the last 6 one in time.

The new rulebook just out and already a proofreading note. :)

33.1071 "...any one area adjacent by land or sea boundary..."
33.1072 "The area must be adjacent by land..."

Which is it supposed to be? Adjacent by land is in line with Monotheism and the rest, but maybe annexing islands is supposed to be Politcs' niche?

P.S. Jonno, thanks so much for your work on the rulebook. It's looking great!

I'll fix it in the next version of the rulebook (I'm still maintaining it, if you still wants the help)
