New counters by Craig Johnson

I've decided to work this way:

I do sketching in photoshop and come to a 'rough' image of all 18x3 tokens based on craig's

then I'll rebuild all images in Illustrator to get a vector image.

This way you can scale it even to billboard size and it'll still be sharp.
I can also make sharper curves this way instead of drawing by pen or mouse.

it's also much easier to change the image like mentioned in the oars and so.

It will take a lot of more work, but I'm not in a hurry, nor is the project. I'm always goaling for the best results.

Here are some previews:

First I've traced the animals and placed them on the building I drew apart from them:

Afterwards, and only when I've made all images I'll be finetuning the colour-combinations for all 18 nations.

It's very easy to just change the top colour (or back)

like this:

Don't worry. the white and yellow-shit is just to show what's possible. I'll keep it close to the original for 95%

I'll make a new topic from now on, since it's now "New counters by Flo de Haan based on Craig Johnson's"

I found the multi layer template file I submitted to be very usefull. I hope you can put your images in that format - 8.5in x 4.7in with the citys seperated by 1/4in for die cutting them. Or could you just email the individual PSD images (3 at a time)? That way I can include the revisions immediately on printed counter sets?

The reason 8.5x4.7 is so important is because 4.7x5= 23.5in which is the max printable area of my 24in wide printer, and 8.5x4 = 34 which still fits on the 24x36in paper. 8.5in is the standard width of US letter paper and is fairly standard.

No worries. after I made vectors of all files, It's easy to resize em (enlarge or decrease) in whatever you like without quality-loss.

But notice: I take my job as a whole. I don't finish one set of tokens before I've done all 18 nations, otherwise you'll have to print your own if you are in a hurry.

I might be changing the first when I've done the last to get em all in one style. Just like I did with the advances, commodities and calamities.

So, where do I find information about what you _do_ have available Craig?

Ahh, yah. May I suggest putting that website in your profile so I (and others) can find it again when I have that kind of cash bumping around?
