Actually, the map came with a single 8-1/2 x 11 sheet showing the various starting set-ups for 4-8 player games. Someone has scanned it in at the Board Game Geek website:

When Playing Advanced Civilization ignore the AST that's printed on the Western Extension mat and use the new one that comes with Advanced Civilization.

Italy is no more (replaced by Iberia)
Aquitania is another two coast spot (like Delphi and Scythia)

and Africa has more starting spots.
