Then, now to an answer to previous posts (hadn't much time earlier)

As for adjusting it yourself, that is very important to me, as I almost always have to do it myself to be able to read the text. There is more than one site out there which I had to abandon because the text was unreadable small, and it was impossible to increase it myself.
What I meant is not the ablity to change, that's just great, but an addition. The default should be easily readable and not based on exotic fonts that have to be installed. I mean, the replacement font should be primar to the exotic font.

As for using images rather than text, that is possible on the main site, and in the menu, but not on the forum, as that is database driven user generated content.
I understand. For a website a Sans-serif is best. And that goes for plain text as well as headers.
When you use images for headers, you could use even more FX and gradients and stuff. Any serif-font will work. You could interpret these as logos.
For he forum we gotta stick to arial/verdana default I think.
Just look at ANY website. how much percent serif-fonts do you see. very little. People are use to arials anyway, but the main reason is, that serif-fonts are less easy to read online, where on paper, the opposite, serif-fonts are best readable

Finally some concrete suggestions! I've been waiting nine months for these. Wink
Fisrtly I didn't know you were dying for suggestions, secondly, if you don't mind me, myself, had priorities in drawing and researching rather than the best font for the website and rulebook.

though one would have to find a larger stone slab image, so one can fit "The Expansion Project" on a second line under "CIVILIZATION")
I used a highress (square) image of rock and just did a very fast cutout of it to fit the word. As I mentioned, It took me 2 minutes. You can use any size and any loopable texture.

Don't know exactly what to do with the trade card back though.
How did you like my cave-paintings for tradecards backs.
http://www.civproject.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=472I played a game with it now, and they look great to me.
(i used cave-paintings to indicate the very start of civilization before the first trade, for any trade goods should reach the very first (8000BC) to the very last (250BC). I'd rather take a NON-trade good. Thats why I ended up using a cave-painting.)
Another fine thing I was looking for was especially NOT a plain backgrouond, but a chaotic one. This make your card less obvious when keeping it in front of a light source. A plain solid background could show the digit shining through. I've done some tests earlier and this was best to me. (a chaotic background). If you use deckprotectors this might not be a problem, but not all user take those.

And do you have some stone slab images for me to play with?
Look up "stone' or 'Rock' + texture in google.
There are several sites like these by the way with various qualities:

Or would you even like to elaborate this two minute exercise into a branding proposal yourself? I think I'd prefer that, as that gives me less work and probably a better result...
I would like to do that, but don't give me time-pressure. I can make anything you want, but in my time.
