| Post subject: | Question on Diaspora |
Hello everybody. I have just another question: This time on Diaspora. Quote: During the Special Abilities Phase a player holding Diaspora may either build a city in, or populate up to the population limit, any completely empty area on the map provided he could trace a path (however long) from one of his own areas to the destination area (either by sea or land). When tracing this path the player may not trace over land areas containing enemy units. Water and land components in the same area are considered two different areas for this purpose. My question concerns about the last sentence in the description of the advance. I make an example: Player A has tokens in Western Mauretania while Player B has tokens in Corduba. Player A wants to populate Carthago Nova. May he trace a path from Mauretania through the sea areas of Mauretania and Corduba, which is in the hands of Player A, to the sea area of Carthago Nova finally ending in the land area of Carthago Nova? Thanks for further explanation, Michael |

Yes, provided Carthago Nova is empty. Diaspora is intentionally more powerful around the sea. |
