At first, let me say the calamity cards look fantastic. Though I think the picture of squandered wealth is a little off.. doesn't look squandered to me. Maybe showing an empty chest with some gold lying on the floor? It's only a proposal zephyr |

It's only a proposal zephyr If you create graphics that looks better than the current ones, I'll be sure include it in the next version. The same goes for all civproject art btw, if anyone creates anything that is better than the current art, we'll use it! Best Regards - Jonno |

Looks great, I've downloaded it and I'll be sure to use it when I get around to redoing the tradecards... (Work supposed to be done for almost half a year now...) |

Good work, zephyr! Jonno: In what way are they about to be redone, then? |

Ah, I see. Thanks for the clarification. I've been away from the forum for quite a while, and to me the cards looked marked already. |

The current cards on civproject.net still has a "marked" back, which Velusion later decided was a bad idea (see Card backs - east, west, shared). On my download site (jon.severinsson.net/civproject) I have some quickly/poorly created tradecards with markings on the front instead. My next project is to redo this propperly. |

Is there any interest in converting the cards to a vector gfx format, like svg? I think this would make further editing of the cards more comfortable. I volunteer for this work. I use inkscape, which allows working with layers. |

I use inkscape, which allows working with layers. Actually, vectorizing the cards wouldn't give any advantage, as they already are maintaied as layered raster images (psd format). So text, borders and backround image is already different layers, and the only part that could be vectorized at all is the borders, and as the background can't be resized anyway, that wouldn't give any benefit. Converting them to an open layered raster image format (such as xcf, the GIMP format) would be nice though, so I wouldn't have to launch vmware to edit them, but unfortunately the GIMP import filter for psd is wanting, and I'm not about to redo them from scratch... And for completeness: Civcards and counters is exactly the same story as the tradecards, while the map is already maintained in an open layered vector graphics format (though pdf, not svg). We are having a color correction problem with the map, but I think I know the cause, and solving it is my next project, after fixing the tradecards |
