I have been reading the talk about Asia with some interest. I have majored in Studies of Ancient South East Asia (and other societies) and found the map excellent. I would make one change, On the island of Sumatra I would shift Srivijaya to Palembang(The location of the original Srivijaya). I would make the island have a low pop space(s) all along the western (mountainous) coast of this island. Srivijaya perhaps the most successful of these Indianised trading kingdoms had trouble controlling this part of the island. I would also like to see Aceh on the north of Sumatra. (by 1500 a Turkish embassy was established here). I have designed my own map for sometime now but nothing like the maps I have seen here. A great way to read a map of SE Asia in ancient times is to colour the sea green and land blue as the major transport routes were coastal and riverine!
Keep up the good work
