Though the expansion is ment for 5 player least, We played a game of 4 including 2 newcomers to introduce the game. We use the original AH-board without the east part and without the WXM so that we had 28 city sites for 4 players. (thrace, illyria, crete and egypt) This gained some conflict, and puzzling during movement, but I though this was good to start with in introducing the game to those two new players. It all worked out great and we still played for 7 hours (set up a time limit that was broken twice because we all enjoyed the game) One of the newbies played africa soon reaching to 9 cities, eventually run over twice by a barbarian hordes and in the end ending up last. I never came further than 5 cities still ending up 2nd. no pix and no scores recorded. |
